Some of you may be wondering why we choose to use Acesulfame Potassium, more commonly known as "Ace-K," in some of our products.
Our goal is to let everyone make their own choice about how much sugar they want to consume. As such, we want to give options, so some of our products do include Ace-K. Many health care professionals state that Ace-K is a good way to help people lose weight. Ace-K is safe, has been extensively tested for safety, and works better in our foods than other things like stevia.
Ace K is better than other non- sugar sweeteners because it has:
-A better flavor profile
-Is more stable than other non-sugar sweeteners
-Has more clinical and animal studies compared to other non-sugar sweeteners
-Has extensive safety data
-Is not able to be absorbed
-Does not cause cancer
-No methyl chloride (we test our Ace-K to ensure this)
-Is approved worldwide (e.g., U.S., Europe, Australia, and World Health Organization)
Nevertheless, the Internet is replete with erroneous stories about Ace K, which are not substantiated. More than 90 published articles are available on PubMed (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed; the only trusted source of science) to support the safety of Ace K.
